Celebrating your national holiday with Daiya

Whether you are celebrating your National holiday in Canada or the United States, there's no doubt that your day will be centered around enjoying food with friends and family.  With both Canada Day and Fourth of July just around the corner, why not show off your patriotic side with an incredibly simple dairy-free platter?

This year, we decided to make some flag patterns with the Daiya Jack-Style Wedgestrawberries, and blueberries.

To make your own platter, simply cut up the wedge into small cubes and arrange on a rectangle-shaped plate with blueberries (for the American flag) and sliced strawberries. The maple leaf on the Canadian flag can be a little tricky so we cut out a stencil and used it as a guide to arrange the strawberries on the plate. Click here for a printable maple leaf stencil of your own.

Wherever you are celebrating this year, make it a good one! For more dairy free recipe ideas, check out our recipes page.
